Hotchkiss Engineers carry out a wide variety of jobs in the repair and maintenance field- CNC turning is just one of them.
Amongst our range of turning equipment is the CNC Shanks Lathe, the largest piece of machinery in the factory, which has the capacity of machining 2.5m diameter - used in facing it can take a length of 11.5m between centres. Recently a drying cylinder weighing 30 metric Tonnes was machined on this machine.
Other turning lathes in our workshop have the following capacities:
- Large lathes up to 2.5m diameter x 11.5m between centres
- CNC 4 axis control operation 1.2m diameter x 12m between centres
- Fanuc CNC Centre lathes to 500mm diameter x 3m between centres
- Sliding beds lathes up to 9m between centres x 2m diameter
